Welcome to my blog!
I will admit to being a complete newbie to this, so if anyone is actually reading this, well that's just fantastic and I'm so glad to "meet" you!
So, on to the introductions-
My name is Shauntrell and I have lived with a menagerie of animals of all sorts for almost all of my life. At this point, it has become something that I deeply enjoy, as animals greatly enhance my life and they almost always bring me joy. Though they require much work and monetary effort, they always seem to return the investment with love and interesting experiences. Not to mention all the cool scars you can get as well. :) In this blog I intend to share my past experiences with the animal kingdom as well as current events dealing with them and my life too.
The menagerie started growing when I was actually quite young (about 9 or so), so I really didn't have much control over it other than to contribute to their care and feeding. But as time has gone on, I have added to the chaos that is my home with rodents, birds, dogs, and various reptiles and amphibians. At this point, we are at a 5 year low in the number of residents we have, due to a string of sad, but mostly expected deaths.
Currently, I share a house with my mother; whom I adore beyond words, her longtime boyfriend; who is pretty cool too, 4 dogs, 2 iguanas, 2 golden geckoes, 2 toads, 5 terrapins ( also known as water turtles), a snapping turtle, and 5 box turtles. All of our animals are rescues from different types of unpleasant situations.
